Petition delivered to Advantage Property Management on September 8, 2020
Per Florida State Statutes and Arbors By-laws, a petition was formally filed with Advantage Property Mgmt. requesting the Arbors Village HOA board schedule a Special Meeting to discuss and vote on a motion to cancel the Hotwire contract.
This decision was not taken lightly – it was signed by more than the 10% of Arbors homeowners required by statute, including prior Arbors Board Members and Presidents, Attorneys, Business Owners, Public Utility Directors, Technologists, Educators and other professionals. It came after many months of repeated requests to the board to conduct this type of meeting - to allow homeowners the ability to hear directly from vendors, review balanced information, and make a formal and informed vote on how best to proceed.
From the start, for many residents this has been a question about process, the lack of neutral and balanced fact-based information, and a lack of transparency about the decision to lock The Arbors into a 10-year commitment in an industry undergoing significant change.
There was also a request for the board to inform Hotwire of the current situation and pause any and all planning, as a professional courtesy to this company.
